Grooming

Grooming Terms and Conditions

All care will be taken to ensure your pet is at ease during the grooming service. Please ensure you provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellation so the appointed time can accommodate waitlisted bookings.

Matting Policy: Please note dogs with thick fur coats must be maintained after their groom i.e. every 4 to 6 weeks, while dogs with short or fine hair may only need to be groomed every 8 to 12 weeks. It is very important to ensure your dog is comfortable for it's next groom so regular bookings are highly recommended to  avoid the need for significantly longer appointments which can cause discomfort.

As a groomer it is important to to ensure the matting is removed but at the same time this process requires special technique and precision to provide the best outcome in maintaining a nice cut and relaxed dog.

Please note: Shaving an excessively matted dog would mean a full shaven cut and not the desired trim.

It is important to understand that matting can cause a variety of skin & health concerns such as infections and skin irritations. It can also mask other health issues or parasites including fleas.

Mats can cut off the airflow, trapping moisture which can lead to irritations and sores.

Once your dog has been treated for de-matting a care plan will be offered to prevent future matting.
